Competitive Lightsworns don’t run either Jenis or Gargonith. The only versions of Lightsworns that run Shire are ones that also run Archlord Kristya. Main idea behind Lightsworns is to use their destructive power to your advantage. So on to add and remove from your deck (as per my own personal opinions from running the deck for a very long time)
Remove:
Gargonith x2
Jenis
Aurkus x1 (you only really need 1 copy of him with the many ways to get him to hand and field)
Marshmallon
Rinyan
Shire
Jain x2
Card Trooper (I know some ppl will argue with me on it but I’ve not had luck with him in there)
Book of Eclipse
Lightsworn Saber
Realm of Light
Mage Power
Scrap Iron Scarecrow
No Entry
Magic Cylinder
Negate Attack
Add In:
Monsters:
Celestia x2
Lyla x2
Ryko x3
Necro Gardna x2 (Sept 1st list he came back to 2)
Plaguespreader Zombie
JD (optional 3rd since Sept 1st list he goes to 3)
Another possible monster option to think over would be Cyber Dragon at 2. For those times you need a quick beatstick out there or if your opponent is running Gadgets/Machina you can use Cyber Dragon for Chimeratech Fortress Dragon with their monsters.
Spells:
Solar Recharge x1 (draw power of the deck so should be using 3)
MST x1 (Sept 1st list it goes to 3 so why not…more destruction)
Book of Moon x1 (comes in handy for Ryko or saving monsters from opponent’s Bottomless Trap Hole)
Monster Reincarnation x1 (for those wonderful times of reusing monsters again and again)
Traps:
Solemn Judgment x1 (staple card in basically every deck)
Compulsory Evacuation Device x1 (2nd copy can possibly be an extra way to save a JD if someone tried to Bottomless Trap Hole him after you’ve paid for effect off of priority)
Solemn Warning x2 (pricey card I know but it helps stop those summons you really don’t want out on the field. If you can’t go with these then substitute Bottomless Trap Hole. Your opponent would still be able to get effects from priority but they’d lose the monster in the long run)
Divine Wrath x2 is a personal favorite of mine because it gives you the possibility of another Lightsworn in the graveyard if you need it for JD and stops those pesky effect monster effects you don’t want to hit you. Trishula trying to remove cards from your side of the field, your hand and your graveyard? I think not….BAM…Divine Wrath. Playing against that Six Sam player and they use Shi En to negate a spell or trap? BAM…Divine Wrath takes him out too. You attacked directly with JD and your opponent drops Gorz on the field and summons his token out? BAM…Divine Wrath works against the effect to bring out a token and destorys Gorz in the process. In my opinion Divine Wrath is a very underrated card.
Hope this can help you out and any more questions just send an email to ask away.
